Edelweiss Mutual Fund has launched – Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund
It is an open-ended scheme investing in Equity, Debt, Commodities and in units of REITs & InvITs.
Accordingly, the investment objective is to provide the investors an opportunity to invest in an actively managed portfolio of multiple asset classes. However, there is no assurance that the investment objective of the Scheme will be realized and the Scheme does not assure or guarantee any returns.
Under normal circumstances, Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund will hold an allocation of 10% to 80% of its assets in Equity & Equity related instruments, 10% to 80% in Debt and money market instruments, 10% to 30% in Commodity ETFs, Exchange Traded Commodity Derivatives (ETCDs) & any other mode of investment in commodities as permitted by SEBI from time to time and 0% to 10% Units issued by REITs and InvITs.
As per the Scheme Information Document, Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund aims to invest across asset classes, in line with the asset allocation mentioned in the SID, with the aim of generating capital appreciation and income for investors. Stock-picking process proposed to be adopted is generally a bottom-up approach, seeking to identify companies with above average profitability supported by sustainable competitive advantages and to use a top-down discipline for risk control by ensuring representation of companies from various industries.
With this aim the Investment Manager will allocate the assets of the Scheme predominantly in Equity & Equity related instruments, Debt & money market instruments, Commodities and in units of REITs & InvITs. The actual percentage of investment in other asset classes will be decided after considering the prevailing market conditions, the macroeconomic environment (including interest rates and inflation), the performance of the corporate sector, the equity markets and general liquidity and other considerations in the economy and markets.
Edelweiss Multi Asset Allocation Fund’s performance will be benchmarked against Nifty 500 TRI (40%) + Nifty 5 yr. Benchmark G-Sec Index (50%) + Domestic Gold Prices (5%) + Domestic Silver Prices (5%)
The scheme will be managed by Mr Bhavesh Jain & Mr Bharat Lahoti for Equity, Mr Dhawal Dalal (Debt), Mr Amit Vora (Overseas) and Mr Ashish Sood (Commodities).
The NFO opens for subscription on June 05, 2023 and closes on June 19, 2023. The schemes will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase on or before July 04, 2023
The fund’s NAV is priced at Rs 10/- per unit during the NFO period. The minimum subscription amount is Rs 5,000/- and in multiples of any amount thereafter.
The scheme offers Regular Plan and Direct Plan each plan offers Growth and Income Distribution cum capital withdrawal option (IDCW) option.
